1. Apply for the Chinese Visa

3. Travel permits
The Tibetan Autonomous Region also known as TAR can be visited with the only condition that you have to have a Tibet Travel Permit. You will have to approach a Tibet tour operator and apply for the permit which will take around two to three weeks. You will need to provide your Chinese Visa copies and also copies of your passport for the documentation process.
4. Carry prescribed medicines
You should always carry your medicines if you have health issues but you have to carry a prescription for each of those medicines. You should also check with your travel agent if your medicines will be allowed beyond the airport. You can prepare yourself for mountain sickness which happens in Tibet because the entire country is located at a high altitude and Tibet weather can be harsh at places.
